My Lolo Motyong — The Centennial Man

Today the town of Valencia, Bohol awaits with great excitement the celebration of the 100th birthday anniversary of the grand old man of the municipality—Timoteo Salo Salise, born August 22, 1922.

At the time of his birth, WW I had quite recently just ended, Russia formally became the Soviet Union, Canada proudly announced the first successful insulin treatment, and the rivalry between Manuel Quezon and Sergio Osmena dominated the political arena.

Outside his many feats that include being a WW II guerilla, retired District Schools Supervisor, and music educator, he is also well-known locally for possessing the gift of healing and being a seer of sorts.

Lolo Motyong is the last surviving child of Fernando Paican Salise and Petra Baliling Salo of Valencia.

God bless you with continued good health and a happy 100th, Lolo Motyong!
