Alternative Learning System | Graduation Rites

23 August 2022

The Alternative Learning System (ALS) of Valencia, Bohol, had its graduation rites earlier with the theme, “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity.” Engr. Dionisio Neil A.Balite, the municipal mayor, gave his inspirational message to the graduates as he emphasized the “4 Ps” they must remember.

The first P is “Pag-minahalay” since love is what makes a home to a person. The second P is “Pag-respetohay” as respect needs to act more than just a thought. He mentioned the third P as “Pag-tinabangay” since a family is someone’s protection and motivation to move forward. And the last P is pag-ampo, our passion may die once we stop doing the things we love, but through prayers, everything is possible.

He added that the graduates must continue living their dreams because they’ll never know what lies ahead if they choose to stop.

As he emphasized, “ang ahoang amahan, niage nga magworking aron lamang makahuman skwela. Kung siya wala naningkamot na makabarog sa iyahang kaugalingon nga mu-asenso, wala mi karon. Dili mi makatagamtam og maayong lawas og panimuyo kung wala siya maningkamot. Walay BIT-International College unta karon. Walay dagkong scholarships para sa mga tawo nga nanginahanglan niini. Padayon ta sa atoang mga pangandoy sa kinabuhi.”

Mayor Neil commits to the graduates to help them on their scholarships upon their entry to college. Indeed, CHANGE IS HERE for our dear VALENCIA – to Valencianhons.
